Compensation: This is a school calendar position totaling 29 hours per week, with split shifts covering early mornings and late afternoons from Monday through Friday. Pay is commensurate with experience and follows the Triton Central Schools pay scale.
 
Job Summary:
The Childcare Assistant supports the daily operations of a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for school-aged children. This role assists in supervising students before and after school, helping to implement age-appropriate activities, and promotion positive behavior and social development. The childcare Assistant works closely with the coordinator and other staff to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere that supports each child’s well-being. This position requires patience, reliability and a genuine passion for working with children in a supportive and structure environment.


Responsibilities:
?       Monitor students and supervising student activities (snack time, outdoor and indoor playtime, organized games, etc.)
?       Assist with homework
?       Ensuring adherence to safety protocol and procedures
?       Maintain professional, effective, confidential and clear communication with children, families and team members
?       Exhibit high professionalism, standards of conduct, work ethic and is a good role model in character
?       Enforce caring, firm and consistent discipline
