    Job: Human Resources Manager 

    Company: Shelby Materials is a ready mix concrete and aggregate supplier with 12 locations  and over 200 employees throughout Central and South Central Indiana. Shelby Materials is a  family owned company that has been in business for 70 years. 

    Location: Covering Central & Southern Indiana with an office at the corporate office in  Shelbyville, IN.

    Job Description: The Human Resource position is responsible for managing the personnel  which includes, but not limited to, recruiting employees, handling payroll & benefits,  maintaining compliance and working alongside staff to enforce company policies and practices. 

    Essential Functions: 

    Manage staffing including interviewing, hiring and onboarding 

    Maintain HR records including personnel, timekeeping, payroll, benefits, and 401k Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy Process payroll weekly for 200+ employees using iSolved HCM 

    Oversee 401k program on weekly basis and meet bi-annually with trustee’s and advisors Manage workmen’s compensation and work with Safety Director to review incidents  and improve workplace safety 

    Manage current DOT requirements and maintain DOT related documentation Assist in negotiation of union contract renewals and maintain compliance with  agreement 

    Oversee medical and voluntary benefits programs 

    Maintain compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations Join and participate in a local SHRM group 

    Qualifications: 

    Experience or educational background in HRM is preferred 

    The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while focusing on results Proficient computer skills with well-organized processes 

    High energy and a positive attitude with a desire to build a positive work environment Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations 

    Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills 

    SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired

    Compensation & Benefits: 

    Base salary range $60,000-$65,000. Negotiable based on experience. High deductible health insurance plan 

    Long term disability plan after 90 days
