Her owner had to go into a clinic and his mother knew he would be gone for a bit and she was unable to care for the spirited Terrier/Boxer mix.  Carmen is good with children, and most dogs but his mother wasn't sure if she was housebroken.  As always we encourage a meet and greet if you have another pet.  Carmen is also spayed, microchipped through Home Again, has received her puppy booster and wormer.  She is past due on her rabies vaccination.  Although Carmen is a medium size dog, she is nothing but muscle and is a little strong on a leash.  She would be great with an active family who likes to walk, hike or even be someone's jogging partner!  Her round brown eyes just look right through you when you walk by....she is hoping you'll stop and grab a leash.  Carmen is known to go on her walks through Chief's Trails carrying a ball or a squeaky toy.  As you stride down the path under the rustle of the fall leaves you hear squeak, squeak, squeak....everyone knows who is being walked!  The shelter is closed next Thursday through Sunday for Thanksgiving.  Although it is illegal to dump animals while we are closed, we will find them here, there and everywhere.  We are full and need some loving families to stop into the shelter to meet our beautiful babies.  Our adoption hours on weekdays is 11:00 to 4:45.  Our Saturday hours are 10:00 to 1:00.  If you have any questions regarding beautiful Carmen, please email me anytime so that I can brag some more at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com.  If you want to call the dedicated shelter team, please call us at 317-392-5127.  Thank you for your support of us, JUSTICE4JUSTICE and our homeless pets just waiting for homes for the holiday's.  God bless you, Chris Browder
