  • Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: 5-10-19

Freya, who was relinquished on April 22 with her friend Davina (who was adopted within hours) is looking for a home.  After a little stress from being relinquished, she's adjusted to shelter life filled with yummy treats, long walks through Chief's Trails, playing with toys in our fenced in play area and snuggling in the meet and greet room.  Freya originally came from Texas, as a pup who was born on July 7, 2017.  The Shelbyville family got her spayed through FACE Clinic, she was microchipped through our shelter and lived with two other dogs and cats.  Freya is better with male dogs, is a high jumper as she can clear a five foot fence and protects her food.  Maybe she would be better as an only pet. She is mostly housebroken, great with children, even toddlers and her adoption fee has been waived to a preapproved home.  Freya with  her darling pink nose is such a love-bug, has great leash skills and is looking for love.  Come and meet her weekdays from 11:00 to 4:45 or Saturday from 10:00 to 1:00.  Questions?  Email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call your compassionate shelter team at 317-392-5127.  Thank you for your support of us and what we do....save lives.
