  • Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: 7-30-2020

Otis is a stray Bully mix that we feel was dumped at West Old State Road 44 in Shelbyville a weekend ago.  Like many dumped pets do, he stayed at the location waiting for his human to return for him.  It is a sad occurrence which seems to be happening more since the pandemic.  Otis is neutered, knows the command for sit and has a loving demeanor.   He has a stub tail that vibrates with excitement and has gentle leash skills.  His adoption fee of $30 covers the cost of his Home Again Microchip, puppy boosters, wormer and flea medication.  Otis appears to be a young adult and weighs 79 pounds.  If you have another dog, we require a meet and greet prior to adoption as we want harmony.  If you have any information on this dog, we always appreciate anonymous "tips".  Questions regarding our homeless pets, shelter policies due to COVID or volunteer opportunities?  Email Chris Browder anytime at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call your tireless shelter team at 317-392-5127.
