  • Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: 8-2-19

Styles (pictured) and his brother Mickey, are two five-year-old intact male Beagles that are looking for a home.  They were relinquished recently because their owner was tired of them getting out of their fenced in enclosure.  Because the handsome pair were outside dogs, the owner wasn't sure if they were housebroken or not, but they do keep their kennel area neat.  The siblings have exceptional leash skills, are good with other dogs, adore children but have never been around cats.  The owner did mention that he has kept them current on heartworm preventative, which is wise since they lived outside.  Heartworm preventative is quite a bit cheaper than heartworm treatment.   If the pair are adopted together, the shelter will offer an adopt one, get one special for $95 which covers their neuter surgery, rabies/booster vaccinations, wormer, flea preventative, Home Again microchip and registration.  The owner stated that they do well apart if someone wants to adopt just one and that they were family pets and didn't hunt.
