    BRCP EDUCATION TO INDUSTRY PROGRAM
Supported by - Otto W. Harris Memorial Fund
The Otto W. Harris Memorial Fund was established in 2010 through a planned gift in the Estate of Catherine Harris.  Catherine established the gift to pay tribute to her father, Otto (pictured), who served as a long time industrial arts teacher at Shelbyville Junior High School.  This designated fund provides annual financial support to the Education to Industry Program provided by Blue River Career Programs.   Since the first grant was distributed in 2013, $113,223 has helped fund this opportunity for local students.  LEARN MORE

    SHELBY MILLS PARK
    Project Update
BRCF is happy to share that work on Shelby Mills Park (formerly referred to as Porter Park) has resumed.  The project was placed on hold during the colder months; but with spring upon us, the ball is rolling again. At the end of 2021, trees were planted and a cement pathway poured in preparation of the storybook trail. In upcoming months, the storybook pages will be installed and children will be able to visit the area to learn more about their community.   READ MORE
