    2023 TOGETHER WE GIVE CAMPAIGN
    Support Your Hometown
As we celebrate National Philanthropy Day, Giving Tuesday, and Community Foundation Week in November, BRCF is offering a 1:1 match toward the Foundation's Hometown Funds as part of our Together We Give Match Campaign. These funds support area specific grants in the four geographic corners of Shelby County.  BRCF will match 1:1 each endowed gift of any amount, up to $7,500 allotted per fund, providing an opportunity to grow each fund by $15,000. This giving opportunity commemorates 15 years of supporting the rural communities of Shelby County.

    CHARITABLE GIVING
    Ideas for Small Business Owners

    NEW FUNDS

    Jody's Kids

    Type:  Designated Fund

    Established by:  John Ruble
in honor of his wife Mary Jo Ruble

Mary Jo started her career as a preschool teacher’s assistant at the Goddard Preschool in Cincinnati, Ohio working with autistic and LD preschoolers. Upon the family's return to Waldron, Indiana in 1998 , she worked as a preschool teacher’s assistant at Loper, Hendricks, Coulston and finally Waldron Elementary School. Mary Jo loved working with autistic and LD preschoolers. She praised them as they made progress in class.  She loved to sing, so she used her singing voice to teach the preschoolers their ABC’s, how to say and write their numbers, the days of the week and months of the year. Mary Jo believed all children should be offered the best education available starting with preschool.  Jody's Kid's will provide support to Golden Bear Preschool to allow them to subsidize tuition for families in need as well as provide financial support for Golden Bear Preschool to purchase items to enhance their educational offerings that are outside of the regular operating budget.
