    Day Programs featuring DDSi

    Monday, January 11
    6:30 - 8:30 pm

Please join us on Monday, January 11 as we welcome Sara Shelton, Director of Day Services, New Adventures 4 You. We'll be discussing day programming in general and DDSi's new program specifically. We hope you can join us for this informative presentation on a topic applicable to both adults and those reaching transition age!
About Sara Shelton, Director of Day Services, New Adventures 4 You:
Following graduation from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, I began as an
elementary school teacher teaching second and sixth grades. It was through this experience, that I was led to my career in the field of intellectual
    disabilities.
Following these years as an educator, I began working in residential settings in
a variety of roles for the next two decades in Ohio, Illinois and Indiana. I most recently served as an Administrator for a local residential provider for over a
decade. Throughout my years working in this field, I have gained experience
working with children, adolescents and adults.
I was excited to join DDSi, Inc. in 2020 as the Director of Day Services and I have recently started the New Adventures 4 You day program as a new service offered through DDSi. The program is located in Greenfield, Indiana. Our program is designed to address the interests and goals of the participants
through an individualized approach. We provide opportunities for acquisition
of job skills through real life experiences.

    2021 Strike a Difference for FUSE Bowl-a-thon

    February 27, 2021

    Strike Force Lanes, Greenfield

    Registration at 4:00

    Bowling starts at 5:00

Now is the time to get signed up for the 13th Annual Strike a Difference for FUSE Bowl-a-thon!

This year’s event will be held on FEBRUARY 27 at STRIKE FORCE LANES in Greenfield. Bowling will start at 5:00 p.m. with check-in at 4:00 p.m.  As usual, we will have terrific door prizes to give away during the evening. You can put together a team of 5 or sign up as an individual.

Register to bowl at Strike a Difference here *

This is a major fundraiser for FUSE and we cannot wait to see how our bowlers make 2021 the best year ever! All bowlers are challenged to raise a minimum of $100. It’s as easy as getting 10 people to sponsor you for $10 each. Again this year we will have a special prize for the top individual fundraiser. And do not forget to check with your company to see if they will match what you raise. You can do everything online or contact Sara Cummins at 317-462-9064 and she will be happy to send you information. To set up your online fundraising page click here and then click the “Become a Fundraiser” button.

Worried about Covid, but still want to be a part of the Bowl-a-thon? This year we are offering an option that allows you to raise funds for FUSE, then receive a certificate to bowl your two sponsored games (shoes included) at a later date.  You will still need to register, but make sure to click the “Bowl Later” option.  After the event we will make arrangements to deliver your certificate and event shirt to you. So do not forget to share your shirt size in your registration!

As always, we welcome sponsors for this event. Contributions can be anything from a door prize to an Event sponsorship of $1000. Get businesses you know to sponsor you or your team. Sponsorships can be mailed to FUSE or paid online on your team or individual bowler page. All contributions are very much appreciated and go a long way to making this event a success!

TOGETHER WE CAN STRIKE A DIFFERENCE TO EMPOWER FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS!

We would like to thank everyone for their tremendous support in 2020!
Together we were able to make a big impact in our community during one of the most chaotic and challenging years in our organization's history.
Our financial supporters were even more critical in 2020 and we would like to say a grateful and humble thank you to each one.
During this difficult time, it is more important than ever for FUSE to be available to provide the information and supports that families and individuals with disabilities need to understand and navigate all of the changes in services and resources.  If you agree our work is essential or have benefited from our services in the past, we invite you to invest in our future by making a donation today. We appreciate your support in this trying time!

    Zoom Meetings: A Quick Tutorial

It's a reasonable bet that most of us have done at least one Zoom (or similar) meeting during this pandemic, but maybe you haven't and it seems intimidating! Never fear. It's easy once you get the hang of it. Here's a quick tutorial just in case.

First set up a free account on Zoom prior to the call at https://zoom.us/. You can do that via a computer or your phone.  If you prefer to use your phone or iPad for the meeting, you will need to download the app to your device.
A few minutes before the call, just click the link provided for your meeting.  If you do not get directly to the meeting room, you may need to enter the meeting ID. You will also be asked for the password to enter.

Once you are in the meeting, at the bottom of your screen you should see a place to turn on your microphone and your video. If things get too loud at your house, you can mute your mic as needed, but you can still hear the call. If your computer does not have a web cam, you can still hear, you just won't be able to appear live on screen.

On a computer the participants are displayed on the screen "Brady Bunch" style, called a gallery. On an iPad, you can select gallery view in the upper left corner of the screen. Phone screens start in "active speaker" view with additional participants in thumbnails at the bottom. You can swipe to scroll through participants. You can also swipe left on the active speaker to show more participants ( a smaller gallery due to screen size). If you keep swiping left you can add up to four participants in your view. Continue swiping left to view additional participants.

If you want to practice accessing zoom ahead of time just give one of our links a try. You will know you have been successful if you get a message letting you know the meeting hasn't started yet with the date and time. We can help talk you through if you contact us before the call has started (the earlier the better of course!).
