    COLUMBUS CAMPUS BUILDING UPDATE

Our new building has really started to show its shape! In this picture taken September 1st, you can see that the steel structure is in place and exterior panels have begun to go up. Inside the structure, metal stud framing has been started, and concrete slab pouring is in process on the first and second floors. The project is on schedule, and we are seeing progress every week! For more on our new building, be sure to visit our website at ournewcampus.org, where you can check out a live cam of the construction site.

    STEEL TOPPING CEREMONY
Something Big is happening at Ivy Tech… and it is a state-wide, 19 campus virtual celebration followed by a local campus reception. We will celebrate the success of our fundraising efforts in the Columbus region followed by a Steel Topping Ceremony celebrating the last steel beam to be placed in our new building. A 'topping off' ceremony is a long-standing tradition to commemorate the completion of a building's structure – specifically the placement of the final steel beam. If you are able to attend, you will learn more about Ivy Tech’s statewide campaign and the fundraising priorities for our region. A very special building announcement will be made at this event!Something big is happening at Ivy Tech, and it’s because of you! The event will be held between 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 30th at our Columbus Campus. For questions, please reach out to Shaney Smith at 812-374-5186 or ssmith1014@ivytech.edu.
