IVY Tech Supply Chain Management and Logistics Begins New Supply Chain Lab Build at Lawrence Campus
Through many hours or hard work and negotiations on behalf of the Indianapolis Supply Chain Program Chair Merrill Yancey, Full-time Faculty Chris Ridener, the School of Business Dean Julius Edwards, Executive Assistant to the Dean Lynn Strohacker, and Admin Coordinator IT Budget & Planning Lisa Coleman the Lawrence Campus will have new look beginning the Fall 2020 semester. To help incorporate hands on experience for future Supply Chain managers in all surrounding communities a new Supply Chain Lab is being constructed at the Lawrence Campus. The Lab will bring to light for students new skills and lessons that involves: Pick-To-Light fundamentals, Inventory Control, Shipping and Receiving, Purchasing, and Lean Six Sigma processes to name a few. This state of the art lab will help students navigate numerous Supply Chain Management scenarios and be placed in actually real world learning situations that will help better their understanding of skills and concepts expected of today's Supply Chain Manager. The Lab is in the first phase of the process with more future additions planned. The team is excited to get the Lab fully operational and bring the first group of students through in the near future!
