  • Mainstreet Shelbyville: Announcing the Second Round of The HartBeat of Main Street Grant Program

    We are pleased to announce that the second round of the HartBeat of Main Street Grant Program will open on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 9am PT. In partnership with The Hartford, the program will continue to fund solutions that help small business owners respond and adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also help to revitalize and strengthen older and historic downtown commercial districts.  

    A link to the application will be posted on our program webpage as soon as the application opens. In the meantime, you can review a PDF version of the application here.  

    A few important things to note:
    • Applications will open on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 9am PT and must be submitted by Thursday, Oct. 29 at 4:59pm PT
    • All Round 1 grant applicants have been notified about the status of their submissions, and grant recipients will be publicly announced on Oct. 21.
    • Please review our program website and FAQ before completing an application.
     

    I applied in the first round. Can I apply again, or will my application roll over?
    If you applied for the first round of the grant program and did not receive funding, we invite you to re-apply if you still meet all eligibility criteria. Please use these instructions to access your previously submitted application in preparation for re-submitting for round 2. You will need to re-submit an application for round 2, though you should be able to use most of the same information from your first application. 

    First round grant awardees are not eligible for the second round of the grant program, even if you apply for a different business.


    I applied for the first round and was not notified about my application. Did I receive the grant?
    We emailed all first-round applicants— both those who received the grant and those who did not— the week of Oct. 5th. Please check your spam folders if you did not receive an email from us. If you are unsure of your status, please emailhartbeat@savingplaces.org

    Grant applicants are not required to be customers of The Hartford. Applications will be weighed and grants awarded without consideration of applicant’s being or not being a present, past, or prospective customer of The Hartford.
