Congrats to our winners!Clinical CornerA Note from the Medical Director, Dr. Marwan MustaklemIt is truly an exciting time! We have been adapting our lives over the last several months because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Good news, the vaccine has arrived! The Pfizer vaccine is now being distributed across the country. Meanwhile, the Moderna vaccine should also be distributed very soon, and several other pharmaceutical companies continue to work on their COVID-19 vaccine.I strongly encourage everyone to get the vaccine when available. I understand some of the concerns surrounding it, but it has been rigorously tested and will continue to be monitored very closely. When researching the vaccine to help you make an educated decision, make sure you look to a trustworthy and accurate source. There remains a lot of vaccine disinformation out there. Please continue to take necessary precautions to keep yourself and those around you safe. Wear a mask, wash your hands, avoid indoor crowds and practice social distancing. The availability of a vaccine is a true gamechanger, but we need to hold on for a little longer!Stay healthy,Dr. Marwan MustaklemClick here to learn about what to expect at your appointment to get vaccinated for COVID-19.Why I Love Woodland Terrace"I think it would be easier to make a list of things I don't love because there would be nothing on it! If I had to name a few things, the list would include every single person who works in Memory Care at any time.... Some weeks back, an aide even cut my dad's hair that had gotten a little unruly since I was unable to visit him. Also, Megan Jeffries always answers the phone so friendly and is eager to help with any issue. Last but not least, Renee always texts me if she is in the apartment and Dad is up to see if I want her to call so I can talk to him. All of you special people who make up the staff there will NEVER know how it means to know that my Dad is so well taken care of when I can't be there. Thanks to all of you!" – Kathy J.Employee of the MonthCongratulations to our Employee of the Month, Anyiea Harris! Anyiea is always a good time to be around, and she brings positive energy to our staff. She also has a fun-loving personality. Our residents and their families truly appreciate her.
