City of Shelbyville: Japan Sister City Information Meeting
SCIRC is accepting student applications for the
2019 summer Sister City trip to Japan
Do you know a student who may be interested in traveling to our Sister City, Shizuoka City/Kambara, Japan next summer? The Sister City partnership is 30 years strong and is an exciting opportunity for students in grades 7-12 in Shelby County who are interested in a home-stay, cultural exchange. The 2019 student trip is planned for early June and will include approximately 5-7 days in Shizuoka City/Kambara as a home-stay experience as well as a few days in Tokyo. An information meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 5th at City Hall, 44 West Washington Street, in the Council Chambers at 6:30pm for anyone who is interested in learning more about the Sister City program.
