Event registration and exhibits will be located in the lower gymnasium and cafetorium. Please enter at the cafetorium doors.
Exhibits will be open from 9 to noon. Admission is FREE! And new this year, we will also offer FREE CHILD CARE during the event. Staff from Beyond the Label and student volunteers from Advantage Shelby County will be in the child care area, so parents can spend all the time they need talking to vendors and connecting with other family members. Child care is by reservation so we can plan enough providers, so please add your child to your online registration by clicking the registration link
At 10:00 am plan to attend a presentation with Charity Behrman, MSW, to learn more about emotion dysregulation in kids: how it works and how to respond. Learn strategies to help your child manage emotions and to help you cope with dysregulation as a parent. Charity recently received her masters in Social Work from IU. She is currently a staff therapist at Adult & Child Health with their school based program. Charity has worked in mental health and social services with youth and families for over 15 years. She is also a member of the FUSE Board of Directors. She is a mother to three children, one who has Down syndrome.
Please register for the Inspiring Abilities Expo so vendors can plan enough materials for all those attending.
