The Arc of Shelby County: Annual Arc and Aktion Club Holiday Dinner
Andy Kirby to Speak at The Arc and Aktion Club Annual Holiday Dinner Meeting on November 26, 2019.
Andy Kirby is the Associate Executive Director at The Arc of Indiana and the Executive Director of The Arc of Indiana’s Foundation. The role allows him hands on leadership and administrative responsibilities of the Erskine Green Training Institute, which is the vehicle utilized by the Foundation to provide post-secondary vocational skills training to people with disabilities. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and has worked in the developmental disabilities field for 15 years. Andy is also a program and administrative surveyor for CARF, the accrediting agency for service providers serving people with disabilities.
Andy will discuss the Erskine Green Training Institute successes and opportunities since being formed a few years ago. He will also discuss the wide range of programs and supports The Arc of Indiana offers to local Arc chapters, to parents of people living with a disability and to people with an intellectual or developmental disability. He will also discuss the duties of the many staff members The Arc has in Indianapolis to help those in the same audiences.
After 20 years in Grant County, Indiana, Andy recently moved to the far northeast side of Indianapolis with his wife Kaity and they have enjoyed getting to know their new community and experiencing everything that their new city has to offer.
The joint holiday membership meeting of The Arc of Shelby County and the Shelbyville VC Aktion Club will be held at 6:15 pm at the Briley Family Center of the Trinity United Methodist Church. The public is invited to attend but should RSVP by calling 317-398-6708 or 317-370-8238.
