Position: Blue River Career Programs is seeking to hire an Automotive Services Instructor for the 2025-2026 school year with a start date of August 4, 2025.

Job Requirements:

• Already licensed or willing to get licensed in one or more  the following licensing areas: Industrial Arts 7-12, K-12, Standard Trade & Industrial: Auto Mechanics K-12, Occupational Specialist I, II, or III: Auto Mechanics 9-12
• If not licensed in any of the above areas, willing to apply for a Workplace Specialist License in Automotive Services 9-12 with a minimum of 5000 work hours in the Welding field.
• Ability to qualify for dual-credit instructor credentials preferred but not required.

• Display a deep knowledge of the subject matter and be able to pass this knowledge on to your students which includes the basics of automotive services along with advanced knowledge of automotive services.
• Provide students with standards/skills based curriculum and training that is aligned to NLPS, leading to possible dual credit hours through IvyTech.
• Develop positive relationships with all key stakeholders while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Develop, plan, and implement curriculum and education programs in accordance with building, corporation, and state guidelines
• Establish, plan, and host program advisory board meetings as directed by CTE director.
• Adjust lessons based on differing needs of your students.
• Use effective classroom management and lab management skills and practices while conducting daily classroom and lab activities for 10^th-12 grade students in a multi period format.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment that promotes student learning.
• Make modifications to lessons based on knowledge of each student’s IEP and 504 plan.
• Adhere to all BRCP governing board policies and procedures.
