The Knauf Insulation Technology Facility supplies the tooling (spinners) for fiberglass manufacturing. This facility operation hours may change based on company worldwide need. The Spinner Shop Technician I is responsible for operating and troubleshooting equipment used in fabrication of spinners to support fiberglass operations. Performs visual and instrumental inspections of product in all stages of the process. Performs preventative and non-preventative maintenance on machines. Prepares packages for shipment. Performs a variety of housekeeping tasks.
- Operate machines for CNC machining, balancing, slinging, electron beam (EB) drilling, grinding and cleaning
- Meet product quality requirements throughout entire process
- Maintain machine performance by adjusting parameters to meet continual quality requirements
- Perform visual inspection and measurement process of incoming castings to ensure quality
- Perform in-process quality measurements
- Record performance and quality data
- Perform preventative and non-preventative maintenance on the machines
- Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting using various electrical troubleshooting equipment such as a voltmeter or oscilloscope
- Ability to read mechanical & electrical schematics
- Receive incoming packages and prepare and ship packages for shipment
- Collaborate with Supervisor and Maintenance to complete all tasks on time, and identify process improvement ideas
- Perform housekeeping tasks
Education:
Associate’s degree in MET or EET (preferred, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
Experience working with CMM systems highly preferred
Experience in both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Experience with SAP applications
