Incumbent serves as Teddy Bear Tumbling Instructor for the City of Shelbyville Parks and Recreation Department, responsible for instructing/organizing Teddy Bear Tumblers Class.

DUTIES:
- Being prompt 15 minutes prior to class start time.
- Must keep accurate attendance at each class.
- Make sure the craft idea is ready to go and organized.
- Actively participating along with the children
- You are responsible for turning in your own time sheet on time and in a timely manner.
- Being prepared with a craft idea, games, some type of lesson plan for the class.
- You will be given 30min. per class = 1 hr. a week for prep time to get ready for class.
- Encouraging the parents to participate.
- Informing the parents of other programs taking place with Parks Dept.
- Locking the door after class and closing up staff room
- Dress professional in a staff shirt.
- Must have knowledge of emergency procedures and perform if needed.
- Use positive reinforcement to keep children engaged.
- Supervise the children and maintain a safe play environment.
- Always maintain a professional attitude
- Must share in the duties of keeping the staff room cleaned up and organized by putting back what you use in the proper place. Preschool shares some things and you are welcome to them but you must return them when done.

I. GENERAL FUNCTION:
- Instructing/organizing Teddy Bear Tumblers class September - April, and Teddy Bears in the Park June - July..
III. RESPONSIBILITY:
- Incumbent performs duties according to general instructions and/or in conjunction with department policies and guidelines. Incumbent reports directly to the Recreation Director
V. PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Incumbent's duties involve standing/walking for long periods, bending, reaching, handling/grasping objects, acute close/far vision, and hearing sounds/communication.
