JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:                Machining Center Operator 

REPORTS TO:                Warehouse Supervisor

JOB TITLES SUPERVISED:        None

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Machine components to satisfy customer needs using required check gauges        

• Report any  nonconformances to the shifts machining technician or supervisor

• Change the machines consumables when the controller prompts

• Load/Unload machines table as dictated per the Machines Set Up Sheet 

• Responsible for keeping their work area in a good clean working environment 

• Ensuring operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements

• Maintaining specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, and inspecting parts

Required Skills:  To qualify for consideration, an applicant must possess the following skills.  Possession of these skills is a prerequisite for employment.

• Strong desire to further their career thru the machining department

• Ability to comprehend simple drawings

• Experience with hand measurement tools tapes and calipers

• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
