Today is the day of love!  The Strand volunteers send all our love to you!

STRAIGHT ON: HEART TRIBUTE will be onstage tomorrow Saturday February 15.   Plenty of tickets are available for this fantastic concert.   There are many out there of a certain age who remember romantic evenings listening to Heart.  You can still do that!   We would love to see you at this wonderful concert.   Tickets are available at the door (plenty available) online, and locally at Shelbyville Paint.  7:30pm

Next week starts with our Tuesday Night Film Series (TNFS) on February 18.   "Love Strand Style" continues with, yes it is, a love story!   SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT (1977).   Who doesn't smile with the love between The Snowman and Fred!   Tickets are available at the door.  The movie starts at 7pm.



Saturday night February 22 CRUSH: THE BON JOVI CONCERT EXPERIENCE returns to the Strand's stage.   Crush have been mesmerizing audiences with their live stage show and authentic musical renditions of Bon Jovi’s greatest hits for the better part of a decade!

 

At a Crush Bon Jovi Experience concert you’ll witness a 100% full-on, no-holds-barred, exciting musical experience that has to be seen to be believed! You will hear all the big hits like Living on a Prayer, It’s My Life, You Give Love a Bad Name, Wanted Dead or Alive and much more! All performed with an arena sized production...all paying tribute to the greatest band in the world, Bon Jovi.

 

Tickets are available online, locally at Shelbyville Paint and there will be plenty at the door.  The concert starts at 7:30pm.

We held our first concert of 2025 on Saturday.  Tom Glynn out of Nashville TN performed the music of Simon, Croce, and Taylor.    We started out the year with ALL online patrons attending.   That is not the norm, as there seems to be a few that never show for the concert.  Not the case for Tom.   It was a great way to start our season of live events.

 

Abe Lincoln: Hoosier Hero weaved tales about the former president the past week.   The production brought Abe front and center.   Thank you to all who attended.  Thankfully we do not have box seats.

We continue on our projects.   The theater went through a complete filter change.  This includes the furnace, popcorn machine and ice maker filters.   Bob Schick still keeps the Strand in tip to shape.

This month the Girl Scouts have been selling cookies on our Cabaret Area before the shows.  Did you know you can pay for your cookies with Venmo?   We enjoy having the girls in the theater.

We have a great time.  The only thing missing is you.   Please help make each performance memorable.  We have only finished 2 weeks for our 2025 season and we are already on our 9th event.   We stay busy.
